# Recurring donations

When you're starting a new campaign, you have the option to choose to donate on a regular basis. In this article, you can learn how and when these donations are processed by Virtue.

## How recurring donations are scheduled

When you create your campaign, you choose when that campaign starts and ends.

We combine that information with the recurring pattern that you describe for your recurring giving.

For the campaign settings above, Virtue would process one £50 donation, every week, starting immediately and ending after 12 months.

## When recurring donations are processed

Virtue creates new recurring donations for the past day every night at midnight (UTC).

For example, if you had a recurring donation scheduled for the 1st of June, Virtue would create this donation at 00:00 AM on the 2nd of June; or in other words, the midnight _immediately after_ the donation date.
